I think you should read this as yaoi and not BL, you know? We aren't supposed to like the seme because he is evil, the story is more about morality than it is about any sort of romantic entanglement between Taegun and MC. Definitely no element of romance in this, just pure plot (and a good plot too. Turnin the comment section into philosophers)
