It's not like he can just walk away, they're trying to kill him, he'll always be in danger. Ian walked easily because Jason was his boss who always wanted him gone and TJ who wouldn't let anyone hurt him. Plus doesn't just have to think about himself but his men who have been loyal to him. The best case scenario to leave and start over together is if they win the gang war and leave Chinwoo in charge

Given his history in the gang that why it's so hard to see him as the endgame eventho I want him to be but because it's gonna be really complicated to write if the author chose that route. Man....I still can't see how TJ will be endgame despite the spoiler I see on Twitter. I haven't seen him express any sort of feeling that he wants to leave the gang. He gonna mess up isn't he.
