I agree with you completely. But it was fun to see some new expressions on him. His expressions this new chapter are just like Kim Dan's on the earlier ones. He's surprised and touched in a way that he *never* was on the first season.
Part of me still doesn't love JJK's progression. It feels very much like it's just the loss of KD and that he's at a low point in his life that made him realize his 'love'. But would he have realized it if everything else, like his physique and his win streak, were still going strong? It feels like the answer is no, which is why I'm not a big fan of this type of romantic progression. I just haven't seen JJK truly want to spend time with KD or get to know him.
On the other hand, its always fun to watch a douchebag pine(especially when he's undisputably still one of the hottest mofos in BL).... so let us eat cake i suppose.
