I agree with you. Ian never asked for this. As far as I remember, TJ also had the choice to go to a loving family but he chose the gang life. So really, I don’t think this is all for “Ian’s sake” like some people say.
We are beyond that point. TJ has gone too far to come out of it and it’s selfish to ask Ian to wait.

The comments section are gonna be a blood bath. Honestly I don't think the TJ Stan should be celebrating. I myself rooted for TJ and still wish he would be endgame but I can't see an ounce of how he's gonna be the endgame.
Let's not forget it still early in the new season. Jo still hasn't made an appearance and we all know Ian thought of him and how he doesn't deserves Jo. He may offer TJ to leave it all behind now but will his feelings for TJ remain the same once Jo is back in the picture again and Ian allowing himself to believe he is deserving of someone love.
TJ, immediately saying how it's both of their legacy gets under my skin cus you know damn well it was not what Ian wanted but he stayed because he love you. Make a damn choice TJ. Ian finally opening up and speaking his mind to you for once.
