I felt that too. It needed a bit more of building his realisation throughout the chapters, not just in a single chapter... I think author knows people hate JK too much and rushed it? Who knows...
Either way... I need 12 chapters of them being normal to each other whilst trying to help each other emotionally, psychologically and financially...and then after their progress, they can do actual love making.(▰˘◡˘▰)
There were, it was just really subtle. For example, their drunk sex in chap 44, jaekyung asked dan why he was getting on his nerves lately
I still hate him. Two chapters of sad backstory isn’t enough. I need him crying and vomiting in regret. The more pitiful the better.
There were moments like that, only subtle ones. Jae often wondered why Dan made him feel different, or why he irritated him but at the same time attracted him. Back then, he didn't understand his feelings and Only now, when he thought that Dan had been hurt, did he realize that it was something more
Yupp and in chapter 35 as well, after the whole situation with heeseung, jaekyung wonders to himself why he went that far

Girl it’s my opinion lol , no need to be rude , if for you that was enough to make this bullshit realization of feelings count then good for you . To me it just wasnt , these subtle moments y’all mentioned were too subtle to count as this grand realization that he cares for him, and now outa nowhere when the only thing he cared about was himself and winning his other purpose is kimdan . He constantly looked down on him , never felt bad about how he was treated but only helped him to make it easier for him to use him , constantly treating him like shit . Nah it aint it.
Honestly this sudden emotional awareness he suddenly got feels too forced and not like him at all , like if you want me to believe him at least show us that during the time he was shit to him there were moments where he was confused . He did not give a damn before and now suddenly he does , feels like the author made him too much of an ass without meaning to and now that it’s his redemption arc it just feels like a different person.
