Sharing some random thoughts, feel free to skip along.
I usually click on the lists on the side that has some of my favorite mangas saved to find other like minded stories.
I clicked on one today and a lot of their “recommended” “highly rated” “5/5” involved rape and violence.
I saw it and thought, maybe it was like a backstory to some characters, but I didn’t click to read any of them because I HATE when rape is involved and try to steer away from those(as you guys know, it’s not easy since BL authors for some reason love to add it to their stories).
So I kept scrolling through the list and I happen to pass by this story(one that I love so much!) and was shocked to see it rated a 1.5 star on their list.
Right then and there, I’ve accepted that I wasn’t gonna like anything on the list and left.
It just shocked me so much that this could ever rate a 1.5 for anyone but it shouldn’t have shocked me since a lot of the themes of the highly rated were honestly really red flags ( ̄へ ̄)
