I love this story especially this chapter adressing how the survival mode lifestyle is just toxic. I discussed this with a friend and we concluded jjk could easily be a case study for red pill mfs. He adopted such fucked up mechanisms to survive and forgot that life is just life cz we'll all die one day. Their is literally no point in being so guarded that you are just a bitch to people who want to love you and get close to you. I'm glad he realises it's not Dan's fault, he slapped expectations on Dan and dismissed that Dan is human too and isn't perfect. Expecting him to be the perfect tool is so unfair to put on anyone. He dismissed how Dan has his own issues and believed Dan should only exist for his jinx which is quite literally just him refusing to reconcile with the reality of his trash parents. I love this chapter. And before we say it's an apology, let's never forget a proper apology is not just words but process leading to changed behaviour. We haven't seen that yet.
