I think the younger brother has a lot of trauma and just needs someone to blame. Unfortunately that is his older sister because it’s easier for him to hate her than for him to face his actual abuser. In his mind he’s equating her hitting him once to the subsequent continuous abuse he endured under his horrible cousin who actually deserves what’s coming to him soon :))
