So I saw the comments on the passage of time thing and tbh it's hard to make sense of it. Initially it hadn't mattered to me bc for the first volume not a lot of time actually went by since the villagers mentioned 3 years since MC left, same as MC said when he met ML, so their journey was less than a year. So then I thought the time skip happened between volumes, but in ch8 we saw a picture of Ilse still young at the time they're talking about the clinic opening and people still using the distilled alcohol ML left behind, so unless he made a fuckton of it it should've been fairly recent, and therefore Ilse was still young when they had that conversation, that's the same timeframe they meet the orc child since MC's hair is still the same, but then that's where the timeline gets really weird bc the jump from ch9 to ch10 is strange, suddenly guns are introduced, they have a grown dog and MC's hair is slightly longer, but it couldn't have been much time bc the rat ML adopted back in the orc child's house is still alive and well, so somehow they found the rat around the time the clinic opened, Ilse was still young then, but is now an old woman when the rat is still perfectly alive. Unless MC was referring to the alcohol as "the technique to distill alcohol" that ML left behind, which wasn't the impression that I got, there's a time dilation happening that's fucking me up... Maybe I shouldn't think too much about it? Anyways I want backstory on the puppy and the art is great, the story is still amazing and yea go read it it's still crazy good
