There's absolutely politics involved. If her whole family was killed on a hit, that hit doesn't expire. Depends on WHY they were killed and by who of course, but she seems to suspect that his family might have even been involved. So if it came out here family was labeled as traitors or rats or something, her life would be in danger and he would be "obligated" by mafia law to report her existence to his uncle basically
can someone tell me why it's so hard for her to tell him about her family? she didn't really grow up in a mafia family since her parents died young so there's no real mafia political turmoil that will happen with him knowing about her past. maybe i'm just too dense to get why?
