Yeah it was prophesied by Ra which is why she didnt want nut n geb to have children cuz well when youre a literal god aka benevolent impartial Supreme administration of the universe you outta not behave like humans or yk imitate their ways. She said gods didnt need marriage. A god born out of a god was a complete being in themselves they shouldn't be living like parent child or sibling sibling. Our ennead were the ones who broke taboo

I think it was more abt them fading away or fracturing their soul n perishing? I could be wrong but the most important reason why gods shouldn't act like humans was not to to intfere with balance of nature and when someone awakens as a god they make a vow with primordial creation or will of universe that they'll completely let go of their past life so imitating humanly ways of forming family like bonds was a kind of taboo which if broken would end in their extermination. But yeah I could be wrong too n it might ne abt them becoming humans eventually

Well, what I can answer from the chapters here so far, is:
Nope, the only one fading away was supposed to be Seth, as a result of being an "evil god" (everyone else was supposed to lose their divinity by gradually turning human).
It's never been said that "pre-gods" live like humans before becoming gods: so far, we've heard very precious little about how any of them live their "pre-god" years. Thus, no matter how much we speculate, the truth is that so far we haven't been actually given a "definite reason" for why full-fledged gods are not allowed to remember their "pre-god" era (we only suspect the reasons, and even if most of us suspect it has to do with avoiding the chance that full-fledged gods might start "missing" the life they had in their pre-god days, the truth is we don't know the defnite reason for *why* they would miss it, as we haven't been explicitely given that info, yet... ***even if I do suspect, it will come up, sooner or later***).
Thus, so far, the only ones that we *know*, for sure, commit a taboo by acting like humans, are only the "full-fledged" gods: which makes it possible for us readers to still think that, for them, acting like humans might only become a taboo *once after* they become full gods, and not while they're still "demi-gods" (we still don't know enough to be able to think otherwise).

Another thing: disobeying the taboo of "not acting like humans" only causes them to *naturally* grow weak and *naturally* turn gradually into humans. Only a *direct violation of their divinity* causes them to fracture, and so far we only know three violations: remembering their pre-god era, being *officially* convicted as evil gods in an actual trial by Maat herself, and the profound self-awareness that they have committed an offense that goes deeply against their duty as gods (so you see, self-delusion is key to surviving the two of these)

Ahhhhh makes sense....thanks jayjayyy!!!! Also what do u think abt sekhmet saying when chaos unleashes ancient gods will return. Do u think she's an ancient god absorbed like how thoth and that female moon goddess are fused together or like is she the one whos housing ancient gods in her omegdgejddb also mojitos tweet regarding their identity was cryptic as fk. Do u believe in ra one sided crush on hathor theory?
Every single character in this story needs therapy, it's unfortunate it's not available in their time and space They may be thousands of years old but their decision making is very..."unregulated emotions of a young adult". They are beings, emotionally similar to humans, who happen to have world ending powers... So, put them all in a mental health hospitals, they need it... Put Osiris in asylum though.
