You're valid in your criticism: the author shouldn't have added such a sensitive and harmful theme without fully addressing its consequences.
It feels like a missed opportunity to acknowledge the trauma and address the issue of sexual assault in a meaningful manner.
Sure author I get it, but not a single flashback of his was towards all the sexual assault and rape, he put Kim Dan through?! That's not even a character problem atp, she should just not have added it in.
Without it, he was already cruel enough to Dan.
In the end it's really just a sick trend in yaoi and that sucks :/
cause rape is not sexy, should never be and if it's used in a story it should be recognized as such and shape the story as result.
