It includes rather heavy themes like rape, high amounts of nudity, intense violence, CSA, and a lot of other really disturbing things. Its not really a matter of being old enough but moreso being capable of handling the themes present. If you think you're mature enough and want to read it then go for it, but if you're not comfortable with it's contents then I would suggest putting it off
A friend of mine has been reccomending me to read berserk for 3 years now (since our college started) . But back then my siblings were like- you're not reading it till you're 18. Well Im 19 now already but my siblings still don't want me reading it. But I'll soon graduate college and my friend is still persistently reccomending it to me.
Is it that bad or are they being over protective?
