honestly i loved the story development so much and how much they’ve grown and changed as in visuals throughout the entire manhwa. this is just one of the reads w more complex characters that aren’t completely likeable but more so a reflection of what it’s like in the real world

i’m just glad that after everything they’ve both been through that they were able to have a happy ending regardless of the fact they ended up together

This is exactly why I love this one and how I feel. Yes he did some fucked up shit. But this was a revolution and a war. He spent like 20 years as a slave and soldier. Apparently the novel went into more details about his suffering but even what we saw here was beyond enduring and coming out sane.
While I understand why some wish they stayed apart I think this was the only way they would have found happiness.
Not that they couldn't have lived good lives on their own but I cannot imagine them finding someone and that person be able to Truly understand them and what they experienced.
This was a story of complex characters told really well. Media literacy is just unfortunately dying and lots of people want perfect good characters
