Okay so I see many people complaining at how Josh is too strong and protective to be an omega. Which first of all, that’s just stupid, (not y’all placing gender expectations on a fictional world). But also in the novel there was a scene where he literally got kidnapped and was almost gang raped. Luckily he was able to fight back and scared them off. I haven’t finished the novel but from my perspective it seems like he doesn’t feel the need to be submissive and conform to gender expectations. He has always had to protect himself. He has always needed to protect his family after his dad passed away. He has always just been himself and there was no reason why he would change when he manifested as an omega. Ofc he was in shock but he didn’t hate the idea of him being and omega. He didn’t care and neither did his friends. They were just curious and normal about it, so it’s so annoying to see ppl say that he’s too strong and that Chase is not an alpha because he needs to be protected. Chase has gone through a lot of trauma, and I think it’s beautiful that he found himself someone who’s a protector to care for him.
you're sooo right, it's so funny to me how people are fucking creating gender expectations and being misogynist in OMEGAVERSEEE, this universe was created to explore a lot of dynamics with different genders but now they're just doing what conservative people do irl with women and men

Exactly, like we read omegaverse to escape reality
