so i am 99% certain one of them forced an attachment to the other. originally i thought it was kihoon who did it to yeon, based on intuition (istg i thought i read this already with a part included with kihoon & the back story of him forcibly attaching a red thread to yeon, but maybe i’m thinking of another manhwa) & the cut to kihoon after yeon found the note in the storage closet about forcing bonds. i now think maybe it’s the other way around, since they are constantly comparing kihoon to the sun & these blazing red souls are the ones that can’t have attachments. idk why it would work that way and that kihoon would be cursed over yeon, but i’m just taking what i learned in the last chapter. idk, either way, i have a feeling there will be the addition of another potential match (for yeon i’m guessing) that is one of their supposed red thread matches, but the true test is to believe their love shall succeed no matter what. so if i had to guess, with the addition of another lead, kihoon maybe got jealous, forcibly attached himself to yeon, then yeon gave his life for kihoon in their past timeline which was the ultimate loss for kihoon, or part of the consequences of his curse, which is why neither of them remember each other, bc they did this red thread quest before, in prev tl, didn’t trust the process/their love, had their falling out, had their memories wiped, then they got to try it all over again in the correct tl bc they probably are true soulmates and the red thread wants them to be together, they just gotta do it right. idk, just my guess. thought i’d add to the convo.
