If you want a positive thinking response then maybe they got super busy with their irl stuff to the point that they just don't have time to open their dc. I mean i'm a type of person to literally forgot to open dc/ig/x when i'm super busy, Or maybe they accidentally turned off their notification alert for dc.
But, this is what i thought might happen cause i'm an overthinker lmao.
They could deliberately mute you on dc for whatever reason. MAYBE they got tired of you for not being clear about stuff. MAYBE they feel offended of something and just don't want to face you for now. Or maybe they just don't care anymore, people change yk?
I mean if they are an old friend then there's a good chance they will contacted you later.
I know it isn't the busy stuff, honestly I tried apologising to them the first time it happened. It was ignored. So I unfriended them for months cause I also disliked them for saying those cruel things just because I give them good news to not make them worry. My situation is like "boy who cried wolf" but now I'm clearing stuff up. Giving them even stuff. Still ignored. I'm just confused on why they'd add me back but then give me a silent treatment but not choose to unfriend me if they don't care. They can absolutely just so I get my answer...
Tbh, maybe they just don't want to completely cut ties with you since yall are old friend, but they also don't want to clear things up for whatever reason.. that's why they didn't reply to your messages.

Okay months ago or so I added an old friend back and they added me back, now there's a chance they might have added me back out of habit cus I changed users but anyways that gave me like hopes. Anyways I sorta DMed them abt like very heavy personal stuff ig like yk to make up or wtv and I did it for like weeks until I sorta gave up like im just ignored and they're not replying. Yet they're not unfriending me at all. Like they could've done that right? If they no longer wish to chat with me but still... I can't help but hope. We had abit of a fallout cause I wasn't clear abt some stuff back then mainly cus I was going through ALOT and couldn't process anything properly, I was really emotional and impulsive. They said they don't care or whatever but the way they don't even unfriend and or even block me. It's confusing the heck out of me because it's been 15 days since they haven't replied. Not one emojis even but they used to reply fast to me but I'm just wondering... Is there a possibility they care? It's on DC and there's mute button and everything but still.
