You said it perfectly, they have TikTok brain and want instant gratification.
I won't say this it's the best narrated story or anything BUT it doesn't take too much to realice the difference between just writing something vs drawing and making storyboards by hand
Hot take but I really don't like it when people say "Idgaf about your backstory what a waste of chapters". Thats literally the point of telling a story??? You explain the reasons why characters act the way they do, you show what they experienced, how they felt, but that doesn't mean you're trying to make them 'good' by showing why they became 'bad'. Honestly ppl nowadays have such low patience and reading comprehension they're better off reading those TikTok ad stories
