The way he went about breaking his engagement was wrong but I’m not gonna lie I felt just a smidge sorry for him when we learn about his life in the palace.
Next love how our MC is strong in her own right. She didn’t get intimidated by the Dowager and instead held her ground. She may not have thought it all the way through when she jumped out the window but nevertheless I was still proud. Lmao!
Also we already knew our MC’s parents weren’t shit but usually they treat the heir a little better but they basically abandoned him also. Like I know her mother wants to care for her husband but I feel like the kids for them have always been put on the back burner. I will say seeing how the ML’s other marriages went and ended was interesting because WTH my boy went through it. Like one went crazy from the indoctrine from the church and stabbed him, another had a previous lover and tried to run away with them, and the last one called him a demon for having red eyes even though she had already cheated with a MARRIED man and was pregnant. I do wonder though the wives he was able to save by giving them new identities do they ever think about the favor he showed them especially the second wife since he helped her and her lover escape to another country.
