i think this series is misunderstood

imo this misses the mark for a lot of people because it's not supposed to be a love story. so it won't follow the conventional narrative other bls do in which a and b end up together; instead, we are given flawed (and at times unlikeable) characters who decisively need healing over pursuing a toxic relationship. the ending is reflective of each character's past mistakes, growth, & willingness to get better before seeking out a relationship. i really like how subversive the narrative ended up being, and this series really highlighted the fickleness of love. super harrowing and tragic, yet having hope is still a vital theme by the end.
