Just a guess, but I think what he meant by that last line was him not being hung up about not being able to choke himself without her permission anymore. Like he enjoys it more if she does it rather than if he did himself
On the first part I'm not rlly sure either, but With Richard teaching Courtney what feels good to him, I think he thinks it will make her feel good. Like because he likes to be degraded like that the person who's doing the degrading will feel good as well.
I agree on what you mean though. Courtney is learning Richard's fetishes, but Richard isn't really learning how to pleasure Courtney properly. Before that though I think the baseline of emotional feelings and understanding of each other should happen first before sexual, which (SPOILER) I heard Richard does learn that type of thing later.
