I will always say the portrayal of trauma and abuse is so important in a characters story. Normally, I’m telling that hoe to stand the fuck up and stand on business. But the way her trauma doesn’t “haunt” the story but IS the story. God I love it. This story isn’t some cash grab. Theres so much heart going into this story. I’ve seen this exact plot countless times and pumped out numerous times.The thing is majority of them lack heart..
