Im sorry but whatttt. When I was 6, I told my grandma I wanted her to die ( I was dramatic like that). She whooped my ass, fed me and send me to bed.
She had no reason to abandon the child. It’s all bcuz of her shame. She should’ve just whooped that kids ass to bed. Saying a child can « abandon » a parent is mental.
The author could’ve chosen any backstory from she was threatened to > she was a meth head. Something that holds up But no.
