After finally reading the manga, it really solidified my dislike for music anime. Honestly I cant complain abt most of the adaptation, they did a pretty straightforward job but the feelings are not the same at all. They *did* butchered that first scene of Mafuyu singing, like it became a famous meme fr. But I get the feelings and deepest that they convey in the story is not something that can realistically can be translated into a vocal adaptation Other than that, im surprised by how different Mafuyu feels here compared to the anime. Maybe is partially bc of the fandom's perspective but anime-wise Mayufu constantly came across as being hung up on Yuki in a romantic way But that's not really the case reading the manga. Yes, he loved Yuki but that's not all. He was his bestfriend and the person who was constantly by his side so ofc he missed him and will kept doing so.
Idk I think the manga in general gave a completely different feel on the story, I enjoyed this way more
