Soo..they’re both completely valid in their feelings imo. I absolutely love how this author showed the realness in this and talked about consent within couples too because too many times has that been glossed over so that was an A+. What was annoying though was the portrayal of both characters. You had a virgin seme that was too naive and didn’t understand context clues; example being when uke first said “you’re a bad boyfriend” then proceeded to force himself to do anal even though he wasn’t ready. As for the uke, I understand his wants in not wanting to do anal, but that’s where communication comes in. He never did that and expected an inexperienced guy to read his mind and when he didn’t, he would get mad and distance himself. Both their flaws were miscommunication and not understanding the other/putting each others’ shoes on and thinking how they would feel if the other did the same. Overall, there were some good things that the author portrayed in here: stigma against same-sex couples, consent, and sex not being for pleasure but a way of love and how it can be expressed in many ways. But the couple was just incompatible.
One of the rare times I felt like they should just break up LMAO Ashwee
No but for real though. I like how Hiro's friend was like... you know you can break up with him too? It felt like they just weren't on the same wavelength despite trying.
