Honestly, it's super late rn and a shitty day, but I've been rereading and continuing this webtoon for the past 3days and I just finished it. And I don't know if I'll be able to explain it well, but we ball.
This is honestly one of the best action webtoon I've read. It doesn't have any complicated magic systems or sci-fi elements, it's quite literally real life portrayed through the eyes of a bunch of kids with backstories that are either relatable or just pitiful. It's so GOOD. I've never quite read anything like this, each story having it's own uniqueness and effect, the character dynamics, and the fight scenes where even you can't tell who'd win at some points because the narrative makes sure to uplift both fighters regardless of which side they are, unless it's super obvious who would. And the character developments here?? My goodness, they're so wholesome. It encapsulates so much about the youth and how they act, you'd be hating them one day and then understanding and even finding them endearing at another.
Spoiler here. I wanna appreciate the over-all writing more, but it's really just peak narrative you know? It's so well done and simple and yet it touches so much about society. I wanna talk about Donald though, yk for much of the chapters here I kept wondering how his character will end because he's just so powerful that I felt that him being defeated was questionable in itself. And I'm so glad he wasn't defeated, it's just so badass how the author wrote this, that some fights can't be won and that's ok yk? It's not the end, it's realistic and I appreciate it so much. Also the ending of his character, it caught me off guard that I screamed and called it cliche, and then the more I read the more that I had to agree that yes. My gosh, it's perfect. He literally became a legend, he's something you can't surpass now. IDK how to explain this it's just so amazing how this well written character's legacy won't end because he died? And it's so perfect? Because literally I could not imagine how else he'll end if he didn't, like so what if he got beat or that his empire collapsed? He could just do it again bc he can. But that was so bleak! And him being defeated and ending it there just wasn't in character. So him dying was perfect my gosh. IT'S JUST SO GOOD DUDE.
One thing you'll truly appreciate in this webtoon is that each character has their own arc and development and their endings are just right. It doesn't take being a main character to have a well developed ending, sometimes the mc is simple while the characters who you thought wouldn't matter after being defeated grows as a person in the end. And that's what's so good about this, the realism about how each person, no matter their role, can grow differently regardless of their disposition. I think it's written well.
