I feel like the duke and the guy in the cage are the same person. Just split to remove the more like, rugged or barbaric parts of the duke. Or. They just imprisoned the real duke and they found a doppelganger. But i read the raws and it seemed like the duke and the guy in the cage have the same memories and understanding of what their relationship with jarn was. It seems like reincarnation.
