Lmfao you’re just being factual/realistic, not woke or whatever term that is. Many stories in BL with abusive roles, “women” role and them always being abused are made by Korean woman authors (manhwa wise) who are just venting their anger at men in their country, putting them in their place basically, or making them feel how they felt, since many of them are misogynistic.

Agreed you’re so right, i feel a lot of the time authors are not seeing that our relationships don’t need to fit the gender norms in their stories. As being gay is not seen as normal in the first place, so why would it fit ‘normal’ gender stereotypes. Once again I’m a man dating a man, not a man dating a man playing a women’s roll. Yes you can argue the fact that anyone can make vent art, or vent stories, and yeah they can, but maybe don’t put that stereotype onto other peoples reality during your story making.

True. Personally I think the people that bring what they read in fiction to reality is a problem. They go to the extreme too, shipping real life men together without knowing who they even are. The fetishization of gay men is also so...nope.
I’m not gay, I have a girlfriend, we are both kinky, far as pegging, but I don’t bring that outside in real life or suggest that to other people outside my bedroom.
As for authors, even though their stories can obviously be from trauma or something, not everyone wants to read that, too heavy or just plain shitty. Not even surprised BL community has a bad rep due to how insanely gross some stories are, more weird how some try to romanticize it.

EXACTLY. i have been saying this for so long yet people get so defensive over it and don’t admit how it’s sexualizing. Also it doesn’t help 99% of the BL enjoying community are minors when almost all bls have adult content . So most people in the community can’t have a conversation about all the stereotypes and sexualization with rational thoughts anyways instead of straight denying it.
I’m glad there actually are people out there that agree
i’m not finished with this story yet i’m on ch 48 BUT i wanted to yap about how peak this story is. So many BLs have this gross representation that all gay relationships have to have a guy that takes on a “women’s” role. Like a twink that’s usually super feminine. Yeah maybe some relationships are like that, but 99% of time they aren’t. We are men who love men, not men who love men that need to be portrayed as a woman. I really like how this story isn’t forcing gender rolls on the main love it’s a good read.
