When I first came across this comic I fell in love with it. It got me interested that I took ancient Egyptian mythology as a secondary. After studying and actually reading the different versions of the mythology, and after re-reading this i conclude: this story is so fucking disrespectful towards the stories of the Gods.

I get it its a yaoi, but thats no excuse to whitewash, bastardise and make a mockery of the actual mythology.

Seth is literally darker than horus in the stone tapestries, where did my baddie's mellanin go? And why is he so fucking weak? Even after Maat sealed his divine powers he still has the strength of a God, physically speaking hes one of the most powerful Gods in the mythology, yet hes be bastardised into some weak ass tsundere. He could very easily kill Horus whenever he wanted, he just never saw horus as a threat.

Not to mention the fact that this author is making all the female characters peices of shit? Take our most recent example Hathor, in the true to lore, she is quiet, demure and soft spoken, she is the goddess of love and beauty! Why the fuck would she be jealous? She'd never act like this, she actually respects herself. Second example Isis, she's gotten a bad rep for her jealousy, which again was totally made up, Isis is the most level headed of the Goddesses in the mythology, these a devils chance in heaven she'd act like that.

Also why the hell is Ra a woman? Ra is male. Atum is male. All the different times of Ra are male. Ra also wouldn't be spending so much time fussing over the other Gods and their business, he never showed up to Seth's trials in any of the mythology. You know why? Because Ra is the sun God, and arguably the most busy God of them all and he rolls the sun across the sky, only resting at night.

There's also like a shit ton of very important Gods just straight up missing, which is making huge plot gaps, like the God of fertility and his daughter, who supported Seth to the end (in one version they helped him escape Egypt) Like hello? They're fundamental to Seth's stories.

TLDR; Now that I properly studied ancient Egyptian mythology this comic sucks cheeks.
