I highly recommend reading the novel https://maplesantl.com/sugar_trap/ (4 volumes)
Today’s chapter was the end of volume 2 wants (6) you can start from volume 2 wants (7)
He tells him the truth in volume 3 demands (1)
( Spoilers?… it doesn’t resolve everything tho haha) but seriously the authors writing style is amazing! It had me finishing the novel in 2 or 3 days.

I see. I'm into hardcore, slice of life, and psychological stories. Would you consider this a fluff one? Is there a stroke here that could perhaps entertain me? Hahah In this manhwa, what keeps your toes here?
I'd bounce if this is like the novel "The Guide as Sweet as Honey" with 80+ chapters of chasing arc due to one fuckn misunderstanding that could have been solved over one sip of coffee. Hahahah

It has fluff moments for sure. I liked how the story was told. I mean I don’t read novels but it was my first time and I liked it. mc’s personality is my cup tea especially on the novel and it’s rare to have a masochist top, just as I said before even after telling him the truth it doesn’t resolve everything since ml’s perception of love is already fucked and that’s where the psychological part you might like plays out. Their character developments, learning how to be vulnerable and honest was the main part I liked. Their growth makes me proud and some parts were so funny I keep thinking about lmao.

Good review. However, may I ask if the manhwa were able to capture and essence and beauty of the novel? I don't mind skipping some parts or omitting POVs as those come with risks. I want to know if the manhwa were able to deliver the thoughts of the novel or if it were shown in way where I won't be hating the characters, but rather understanding them.
I've been through a lot of stories that fails to envelope the message of the novel, just marring it with disappointment. Rarely do I find adopted ones that can bring the characters to life in the form of lines and colors. I don't want another sunk cost fallacy.

I’d say so far yes, it’s been adapted well. Even if some scenes are being skipped over. We haven’t reached the climax of the story or seen proper developments yet though, but as long as it’s not rushed, it will be fine.
Still, I feel like if you can’t stand misunderstanding, it’s better to wait until the manhwa has 20+ more chapters or finished. because it’s really full of misunderstandings and lasts for way too long.
To those who wanna stop reading this cause the misunderstanding hasn’t cleared up yet I’d suggest you to do that bc it will take a while to get to that part like basically the whole story is built on that misunderstanding, save yourself from that frustration lol
