I get why Doumeki said it. Yashiro was acting all cold. He reached out with his hand and that pulled it back after all and was about to leave. And Domeki kept him there, by asking, if he had anything to ask, which yashiro refused too. Yashiro might be thinking "I really gotta cut him off now or else he's gonna die for me." Doumeki realized that and said "I just returned the favor"=it' just a one time thing and won't happen again. He lied, hoping to give Yashiro an excuse to stay.
yashiro needs a slap rn for acting all cool & cold ... & im also mad abt doumeki’s stupid excuse "i was returning a favor" ?? my ass .. just say u love him & u would give up the world including ur live to protect him ... fgs a teenage love story shoujo wouldn't be this complicated ugh
