Honestly, I respect the cut off from the original novel plot. In a novel, you get it all in one book, all at once. In a manhwa you get tiny snipet of the story, once per week. Can you imagine how long people would have had to wait for some resolution if they went with the original pacing? One or even two years maybe, a 100 chapter of misunderstanding, and pain. Many readers would loose patience and drop the manhwa, or at least stop reading it when the wait would get too long.
