I have such insanely mixed feelings about him… TT I would have never guessed that he was such an obsessive psycho in the first few chapters lol. The thing is, his behaviors would be a total red flag if the other party wasn’t interested. And even in a relationship, if my partner acted that way I would run for the hills and never look back. But since MC LIKED how he expressed his affection through obsession, enjoyed the attention and it stroked his ego …I guess it’s fine? As long as the relationship dynamic truly works for the people involved, I have nothing to complain about as an onlooker.
The only issue I have and I am SO MAD they didn’t show how it was resolved: was ML hiding from the MC that his family and friends know he’s in a gay relationship. Open obsession, stalking, jealousy, being controlling - whatever, the MC knows he acts this way and consents, heck, even enjoys it. But he can’t be ok with something he doesn’t know about. ML claims he did it to protect him and because he didn’t want to stress the MC out but bffr: he’s keeping him entirely dependent on himself. MC has no idea that he has a support system in case anything goes wrong with their relationship. What could possibly make him anxious about knowing that the people he values know how he lives his life, accept it and support him?
