    maybe it was officially labeled as "side story", but yes someone needs to tell manhwa authors to know the distinction between the main story and side stories.

    I think it started from Roses And Champagne that have side story that feels like new season, then Kiss Me Liar too, suddenly others were doing the same ┑( ̄Д  ̄)┍ this is just my opinion though

    no, it has long been happening before that, though roses and champagne may have been the tipping point because of the amount of side story chapters was released. it happens in shoujo manhwas too, so i really think this is a korean author problem.

    stop ending the story if you’re just gonna continue it in the “side stories” just write it as a new season. side stories are for AUs or for fun chapters, not new lore.
