I’m going to mention this just once, do whatever you want with this info

Can’t stop reading September 10, 2025 9:29 pm

I have theories which are quite terrifying if any of it came true
First trigger warning, this is containing sensitive/traumata topics and words that are hard to digest.

Let’s start with facts first and run with it:
- Jaeil is/was the owner of the golden pavilion where boys were sold to Yakuzas for business
- Seunghyun looked up (and still does) to Jaeil a lot, even during the flash backs around Golden Pavilion
- When Yuta met Seunghyun he has been there only for two months and seemingly didn’t get to see the worst part of that pavilion atp yet (doesn’t mean he liked it there at the start - def not. But probably less resistance and questioning, more reading and isolation before he got involved in further settings)
- He ended up unwillingly there (he is from a noble family) and we don’t know yet how it came to that.
- Seunghyun must have been his only holding point after two months of being there and also not his first worst experience at that sh*t place. It must have happened afterwards and we are gonna get to this point soon I believe
- We possibly saw in chapter 16 one of his first in counters with his future “step son”, but this was so far only the beginning of his traumatic and miserable life in the pavilion

So I wonder if the first fact (which involves Jaeil being the owner of this so called “businesses”) and his relationship with Seunghyun (Yutas only holding point back then, but also Jaeils loyal dog) could be one major reason for Yutas hatred. Maybe it leaded to a disaster after disaster situation.
What I also think is that Yuta got sold off at some point to the man he was until recently married to.

Now it’s gonna get even more interesting, but this theory could also be proved otherwise so idc what you guys do with it —>

Pilwon… yes Pilwon who died exactly “one year ago” as Yutas husband did.
I’m talking about that guy who Jaeil already been familiar with, but I don’t remember the Pearl boy story getting deeper into their backstory (pls correct or add if you guys remember smth)
There is a possibility that he was Yutas husband, and bought him off cuz he looked like a certain someone ‘Jooha’ (I’m to lazy to check how long Pilwon knew Jooha, that’s why I said this theory can be proved otherwise - but if it fits within the time frame, Joohas escape story & Yutas pavilion story, then that would be insane)
———————————————————————
Ok anyway, now the twins from Pearl boy. I remember one of them mentioning smth about “the good old days in Japan” to Seunghyun while being on the run. That could also play an important role in Yutas backstory(starts in Japan) + maybe how things lead up to Pilwon if that wasnt included yet - I don’t remember a lot from Pearl Boy honestly.
———————————————————————
How is this going to end? Honestly I don’t know, but what seems certain is that Yuta is trying to get his husbands business so his “step son” doesn’t. Seunghyun and Yuta profit from this strategy (and yes it’s an awful one for both parties, but especially for Yuta, because of his miserable past). #regretting top is one tag under this work so we will see how this is going to run.
———————————————————————
I wonder if Jaeil remembers Yuta, if they met personally and if yes- could Jooha have reminded him of Yuta. Could Jaeils and Pilwons characters crossed in this way too? Jaeil meeting Jooha years later and deciding to help Dooshik (because of self reflection and regrets) and Pilwon getting Yuta before all of this (to use him for his obsession). It would be clicking somehow.

[Finish lol, good night]
