Honestly what irritates me the most is children turning out exactly like the parents (usually the father) wish. I just don't think wishing for a daughter is less toxic than preferring sons. Every time a ML wishes for "a daughter that looks just like her mum <3" I just wish he was proven wrong so he can examine his biases and prove that he would love his child no matter the gender. I just don't want parental love to be gendered
I'm sick of daughters looking like their mothers and sons looking like their fathers, so personally I hope the author will be more creative
