I have no definitive proof but I'm pretty sure the creator (either the novel author or the artist) have a thing for lolis and tsunderes. I can only hope that the MC sticks with his lone wolf type deal until the end bcs yikes. I don't mind having love interests in a shounen, I mind when they're obviously a caricature
