I really don’t like the grandpa and the mom. How old is the mother? you were ask to choose between your career and family then why the heck did you build a family if you’re just gonna leave? I can’t really understand you should’ve been prepared that your father would not be supportive of your choices but nooooo you left as soon as everything went south. Left a deep scar on joowon then live like the children you had never existed like some old rag on the street. I still can’t feel any sympathy towards that woman, isn’t even right to call her mother. That’s grandpa hope he dies alone as if his career can be brought to death you see people of lower status even your blood relative who didn’t do you wrong a fcking bug? what the hell seriously may this old man mf meet king yama soon.

Honestly I can agree but you need to see that the grandpa controls her to the point that he could make it so she could never get a job if she didn’t listen he holds power over her from restricting her husband and kids over her

Never learned how money power at work?
her leaving the warm little family was not due to voluntary choice, it was a pure force suppression.

Every other path would be blocked off her, and worse yet? that trash old coot would directly harm MC and his family would she not oblige to his "order".

The choices presented on front of her were all bad choices, but she HAD to make one that would not result in her warm sun completely destroyed.

Sure, the ones left behind perhaps would resent her... but for her, it was the best she could hope for.

its not that i don’t understand but its really hard to sympathize with the mom. Every choice she made has a consequence. She got a controlling father who in just a flick of a finger ruined their family and she knows that. Sure she got no choice either you leave or everything get ruined. What I am ranting here is that the children still suffer, the family she left behind still suffers, Johoon was still traumatized. No matter what hand the grandfather has in it, it is still her who hurts them the most. The thing is you could blame it all on the grandfather yes but she’s not free from blame as well. As I said I was having a hard time sympathizing but that doesn’t mean I don’t understand the situation she were in.
