I have forgotten the deal! What the hell was the deal about??

So the deal occurs at the end of chapter 25 where we see the brother who was sent by the head family give our mc the phone. He basically has to report back to them about Lord Mugo’s daily activities or whatever and if he doesnt or tells Mugo about the phone his family will he in danger. Didnt really understand anything else but hope that helps
