I could be wrong, but this story doesn’t give me doom and gloom feels. Yea it’s about gangsters, secret agents and corruption, but i don’t think the author has ever written Jake or Shin in a completely hopeless situation. . For example, the times Shin has been kidnapped and was in danger it still didn’t feel hopeless (from my point of view anyway). I don’t think the plan is to end in tragedy.
I saw a girl on tiktok saying something like "we all hope for the happy ending like Jake and Shin getting married but Jake might not even make it to the end of the manhwa at this rate" and now i am not okay
