the smut wasn’t even worth it. this story became ass the second the second season started. the whole same soul/ multiverse thing felt like a kid making up new rules so that they could win. oh yeah basically people have the same souls and that’s why you can transfer into a different body OH BUT ALSO you can still transfer into another body if you have a similar shade of soul. talking about same souls bs, so maythan was an evil bitch who sold drugs to students and died but jinsoo (who literally has the same soul) is an innocent smol bean who could never do something like that…. okay sure. you can’t just label this a side story and then jumble together some random lore to fix the plot holes in your writing. and before anyone says “oh the creator rushed this cus they were sick blah blah blah” okay? i can still critique a work.
jinsoo had four connections, how do you let FOUR potential relationships be outdone by a side couple yuri—mind you, the yuri got like three seconds of screentime. i’ve said it once and i’ll say it again, the problem with harems is that they don’t spend enough time developing chemistry. genuinely with the confession, i was just like “okay” cus i really didn’t see any genuine scenes where jinsoo fell in love. their relationship was always this awkward secretive back and forth (not even mentioning the rapey bits and pieces) like it was never even fully fleshed out.
you know maybe i’m just expecting too much. you can’t just write a story and make the characters fall in love without actually developing anything. to me, everything felt like friendships with some sexual tension, there was barely any romance developed. i didn’t like the way the story ended and i also didn’t like the way the side stories were written. it was an okay read, nothing special. and before anyone attacks me, i literally stuck to the end because i wanted to see what happened. i can criticize something i don’t like.
