Mincheol's Backstory isn't the Problem, the Underwriting and Pacing is.

I know yall are not complaining about Mincheol getting a backstory right now and calling it a bad attempt at illiciting a pity response. He's literally one of the main characters and his story is crucial to the plot BECAUSE it involves Haesoo's young adult years too. I just want the author to fix the DIABOLICAL pacing. 70 chapters in and we're barely learning about the origins of Haesoo and Mincheol's relationship, and we still don't know anything about her chaebol eater other than the fact that he's a conventionally sexy yearning stalker that has a stereotypically dysfunctional family. Literally the only thing that is carrying this story is Taeha's character design. Haesoo's character design is so forgettable in the context of this Manhwa's art to the point that I confused her with the mistress. She's about as interesting of a character as Mincheol was faithful to her. She almost feels like a placeholder character or self insert because of how unimportant her individual scenes/plotlines feel. She feels incredibly one dimensional and lacks any personality beyond the occasional and awfully mild reactions to what should be incredibly emotionally provocative situations. She is so terribly underwritten I can't help but want to skip any scene that involves her because I know reading them won't change or add any perspective to the following or previous scenes.

TLDR: Mincheol's backstory is crucial to the plot, it only feels excruciating to sit through since he's the first and only character with a semblance of actual writing despite being the most insufferable one, all after 70 chapters of a god awful attempt at slowburn.
