ugh I knew from the start this wasn’t gonna be an easy read with how the MC kept getting harassed but I still kept going cuz the plot had me curious… now I’m at this point and it’s just getting worse author keeps throwing SA at the MC again and again it’s so frustrating, like do I even keep reading or just drop it??

It was very hard to read through when it was still releasing weekly, but it's one of my favourite comfort rereads now. I just roll my eyes and skip the super unsavoury scenes.

I think the story's universe (or at least Rix's narrative) just has a very loose boundary on consent. Like minor spoiler(?), Rix implies dream visits by incubus are ok because the dreamer forgets about it. Or because he feels good, means he must be ok with it. Like Rix's boundaries are so invaded that dubcon is ok to him. At some points in the later half, it also feels like the storyline is just repeating with Rix getting SA-ed leading to Rix/Nuah realising their feelings, Rix/Nuah then hide their true feelings, Rix/Nuah separate/break up, and then get back together only to repeat. And then some worldbuilding lore in between.

I wished Chanseong actually replaced the unnecessary SA with more worldbuilding lore cause it is actually so interesting and wasted. But aside from that and the frustrating running around in circles with their emotions and lack of communication Rix and Nuah does, I think their romance is well done. And I especially love how the story touched upon their love as mortal/immortal. The last few chapters reflecting on that actually still makes me too emotional, especially about Rix's family and friends.

tldr the SA doesn't get better and depending on where you are, there are 2 instances later where I thought "fucking hell was this really necessary". Rix also excuses/justifies his SA and victim blames himself a lot. You can generally skip them. The romantic tension between Rix/Nuah gets repetitive but I personally really like how their story ends.
