How do I explain how much i don't care about this guy's past. I understand the author is trying to paint an image of their relationships but tbh, I'd have been fine without this arc. I don't ever want to feel sorry for a guy like this and (just my personal opinion) it feels that's what the author is trying to do and it raises the question of why? What's the point? He sacrificed his life but so did she, they were both young, it's not like he was the only one. Her life wasn't great, neither was his. I won't feel sorry for him, never!
