Maybe not yet in a direct way because there was no parent in his life to teach him that. I feel like it's obvious that he's starting to fix his bad attitude. When Dan said "forget me" normally, I'd expect him to burst and yell at him angrily but what he did was he reminded himself that it was his fault on why Dan would say that. Idk, maybe let it marinate until they decide to part ways with JK respecting his wish to leave his life after the contract ends.
