That's what I was thinkinggggg!! Every single chapter I can't stop the thoughts that all the lost 'todays' probably don't disappear. I think that Encrid isn't actually going back in time but simply switching to another parallel universe (I saw this happen in a few novels so I might just be biased). I hope not though, because in all these other universes his squad must have been devastated after his death
I feel so bad tho, what if, in the other alternative universes, the gang starts hating rem because of what he was forced to do
