I think this heated argument is all about the unresolved issues TJ and Ian have with each other and not over lack of love. From my POV, this chapter is purely continuing with TJ and Ian’s story, and Jo does not play a part in why they’re arguing (so like even if they don't end up together, Jo is not to be blamed).

In episode 32, when they first parted, Ian had already said he knew about everything TJ had done. He knew it all, but he still chased after TJ with tears in his eyes. Even now, when TJ let go of him for the sake of his safety, Ian is still fixated on the fact that his feelings from the day of the funeral were not taken seriously. The point is that they love each other, and it has nothing to do with anyone else.

Both TJ and Ian are different products of the same environment. TJ learnt that he needs power and money to be worthy and he thinks that’s the only way to protect his relationship with Ian. Because why would anybody, especially Ian, stay/follow him if he’s nothing? Whereas Ian learnt the fixation of wanting power and money will destroy the relationships you have with others and he just wants out.

That said…I’m a TJ x Ian truther (yes I love some toxic love) but I think this chapter confirms that their relationship is over unless the author ever writes a resolution for them. Basically the point I want to make is, neither Jo nor lack of love is the reason why Ian is done with TJ. Ian is not stupid. The whole time he knew that TJ breaking his leg is wrong but he still stayed with him. However, NOW their mindset is simply too different from each other for their relationship to work.
