So the story finished and has the side stories out. The ending was kinda meh but the side stories followed up on the ending.
Basically it looks like she ended up with the childhood friend (which is great). He’s the guy with piercings who has loved her and waited by her side the entire story. There’s also genuine love between them. The FL and ML are both cautious and nervous around each other due to their history. It’s like “first love” relationship where they get nervous holding hands lol. It’s sweet because they both even only shared their feelings and look happy.
There is also an alternate route/what if side story, where she gets with the other guy(?) I’m unsure if they’re official in that side story, since it looks kinda open. But anyways they gave the “what if” side story for readers who liked him. And the Korean comments definitely were happy about it. In my opinion, it looks off. Sure the guy did help with her revenge, but it’s been made a point that he was mainly attracted to her because of her “broken” appearance. He pretty much loved when she was depressed. So it feels like a red flag route. Even in that “what if” story, he appealed to her with lust and maybe some talking while sleeping together. The feelings don’t seem genuine and the FL also looked reluctant.
