lol I was like "I haven't seen an update from this story for over 10 days or so, might as well check it out to see if I missed anything" and lo and behold, I did read the latest chapter the day it was released but I didn't realise it was the end. I must've been in a rush and did not scroll until the very end to see the word end. But, seriously, if you delete the last couple of panels, this could've been any regular chapter. I wonder if they decided to pull the plug and the story and rushed the mangaka to end this or if this is how it was meant to end all along...

It feels like it's missing quite a lot. I fully expected the mob boss guy to be back in the picture...not even as a second ML like some reader predicted or hoped for but for the sake of the story itself. MC had a close connection to him and kept his mouth shut out of loyalty. So, to some degree, if said boss cherished MC and his desire to leave the gang, then, it does make sense for him to stay away....I just wish that the author made that clearer. He obviously kept track of MC's actions since he killed the guy who was responsible for hurting MC at the end of season 1. But, if he did know everything that's happening to MC, why did he not intervene when ML was a major dickhead and tortured MC? Did he assume that him intervening would make the situation worse since the police would have a stronger belief that MC still has contact with the gang....I can see why the character might have acted (or not acted and chose to stay in the shadows) in certain situations, I just wish we had more insight into that as readers. It didn't need to be a grand re-encounter. Just show us what MC and ML might have not been privy to
