-Bada sees Doha killing an NPC, and then dies to the killer. Next timeline NPC Doha starts showing interest in him, and even after Bada dies in that round, Doha keeps exploring, finds a new cassette tape, and puts it into their previously discovered cassette player— thus saving his data, he also takes out the cassette that was already in the player, that cassette turns out to be Seongchan's, so he essentially turns off Seongchan's memories to activate his own.

-Doha and Bada meet in the next round, where Bada discovers that Doha managed to save his data and retain his memories. He also discovers that another place in the map— the abandoned house, has become playable, and derives that it must have come from Doha inserting his cassette and activating a DLC. They play a few rounds together and eventually get into a bit of a fight. After which, unbeknownst to Bada, Doha turns off his cassette just to see what would happen, and Doha sees that Bada returns to becoming an NPC in the tunnel. Doha does not tell Bada about his discovery nor the fact that he turned off Bada's cassette.

-During one timeline, the both of them get confronted by Bae Hyungshin, who seems to retain vague memories from the previous rounds, however, he is not a "player", matter of fact, Doha and Bada soon discover that he barely remembers anything and even if he does, it only applies to the very last round played. He also doesn't have any knowledge of the game and even claims to be a "psychic" at first, while also just sucking at playing the game and solving puzzles overall being a total noob. The duo makes the conclusion that Hyungshin managed to save his cassette somewhat at the very start of every round, where he inserts a cassette into the car radio. Bada eventually makes the decision to just deactivate Hyungshin's memories, as he doesn't want him playing badly and disrupting his and Doha's gameplay. At the start of every session, he and Doha prevent Hyungshin from entering his cassette at the start of every round, rendering him into an ordinary NPC again. With Hyungshin out of the way, they keep playing the game.

-Bada and Doha keep playing and become closer and closer, after one specific round where Bada almost gives up on the game and Doha unexpectedly saves him, he finally returns Doha's feelings. After this incident, they become more harmonized in playing as a team. However, it is at this point in time that we see Doha start acting more suspicious of Seongchan, talking to him as if he's not a normal NPC, but rather a player, Seongchan however, appears to be clueless in every single convo between them, like a true NPC.

-Bada keeps playing and finds a new cassette and cassette player in a location of the map he previously thought unplayable, he finds that the cassette has the word "end" doodled all over it, alongside smiley faces. Wondering if it was another DLC leading to the "true ending" of the game, Bada inserts the cassette into the player and proceeds into the next round to activate it. He tells Doha of his discoveries beforehand and tells Doha to watch out for anyone acting differently compared to before.

-We see Doha immediately go to find Seongchan, unbeknownst to Bada like all other times, he follows Seongchan onto a secluded place before killing him, this occurs before this session's game even starts. Turns out the cassette with "end" doodled belonged to Yongtaek, after witnessing the scene of Doha killing Seongchan, we see him internally recalling that he played as a trio back then with Seongchan and Bada. We also see his thought process of determining who reactivated his cassette, after which he concludes that it must've been Bada, and so he runs to find Bada, eventually confronting him happily.

-Bada is suspicious at first when Yongtaek claims to be a player, more than that, someone who previously played with him. He gives Yongtaek several questions about the game to test him, confirming his status as a player. Doha eventually also catches up to them. Long story short, we find out from Yongtaek that at first, he was also just another NPC, that was until, Bada and Seongchan approached him and invited him to become a player. Later on, Seongchan would become extremely toxic, always comparing him to Bada in terms of reliability, and threatening to replace Yongtaek with someone else if he didn't work well enough, he also says that according to Seongchan, Bada's memory "has always been unstable". Through him, we also discover that Doha replaced Seongchan's tape with his, thus wiping out Seongchan's memories, this was a fact previously unknown to Bada.

-According to Doha's explanation, as he was just an NPC back then, he didn't think much of replacing a cassette tape. He also says however, that he knew that "Hyungshin's tape" wasn't actually his, but originally Seongchan's. At the start of every game, before Doha became a player and made Seongchan into an NPC, Seongchan would save his file by asking Hyungshin to give him the cassette tape, and using that tape later on to save his data in a cassette player. However, when Doha removed his cassette tape, he turned back into an NPC and would let Hyungshin use the cassette tape instead of taking it for his own, thus allowing Hyungshin to "save" his data in his own way. Additionally, with Yongtaek's provided info, we see that the reason why the abandoned house location opened up after Doha became a player was not because of a DLC, but rather, the abandoned house had already been cleared before by Bada, Seongchan, and Yongtaek. But because Doha erased Seongchan's data, it also took with it, the "already cleared" data of the abandoned house. To restore the completed data of the abandoned house, they'd have to put back in Seongchan's cassette tape in the same player it was previously in, something that the team doesn't do as it would mean sacrificing Doha's data, that is in the same cassette player. Just like how Doha took out Seongchan's tape to play his, they'd have to do the same to Doha. They convince Yongtaek to not restore Seongchan's memories by revealing that despite Seongchan having his memories when he did, he stopped helping out Bada as far as Bada could remember— instead, just pretending to be a normal NPC who would die first at the start of every game session.

-Misunderstanding cleared, Doha, Bada, and Yongtaek keep playing the game, after which Yongtaek reveals that he had his save data lost during his, Bada's, and Seongchan's first session in the newly unlocked mine location back then(this is what led to him reverting into an NPC again), this location is still locked as of right now due to save data being erased as well. But just in case, Bada and the others still check it out, resulting in Bada unexpectedly finding another tape, with exactly the same markings and doodles of "end" and smiley faces all over it, just like Yongtaek's tape. Yongtaek insists he has never seen that tape before, and the group puts it inside a cassette player to test out what memories it unlocks.

-They die and come back to the starting point, the car, and Bada sees that Yongtaek looks severely sick from the get-go and even has a nosebleed. They get to the lodge and Yongtaek pulls Bada to the side, telling him that he faked being sick to get to talk to Bada alone. He tells Bada that he unlocked a lot of memories from that newly inserted tape, ones from before Bada even started playing. He says that at first, all five of them played together, him, Doha, Seongchan, and all the other NPCs in the lodge. All of them were friends from another world who got stuck in this game, all of them except for Bada. However, the others slowly went crazy and chose to turn off their cassette tapes and turn into NPCs voluntarily. Eventually, even Yongtaek did the same, that was until he was awakened again by Bada and Seongchan, all previous memories gone. He says even he doesn't know how Bada got there, but Seongchan is the only one who doesn't have his memories cut off, so if Bada wanted answers, he should reactivate Seongchan's cassette. He tells Bada that he doesn't want to play anymore either, and asks Bada to deactivate his cassette from the player, and use that player instead for Seongchan's tape so Bada can get the answers he wants.

-Bada does just that, without Doha's knowledge. Doha stumbles upon him removing Yongtaek's tape, but Bada lies and says he only removed Yongtaek's tape by Yongtaek's request, excluding the fact that he also reactivated Seongchan's tape. They both die and meet in a new round, upon waking up, Bada immediately notices that the whole group is dead and the car is crashed, only Seongchan and Doha are missing from their seats. He goes out to look for them and sees Seongchan in the house, who pretends to still be an NPC, telling him that Doha suddenly just swerved the car and crashed, killing everyone. Bada tells him to drop the act, and he does, they make a deal. Bada will update Seongchan on what happened during the sessions he missed, and Seongchan will tell him how everything started and how Bada came to be a player.

-Bada updates Seongchan after he lights the house on fire and as they wait for Doha. Once Doha arrives, Seongchan starts telling the truth. Bada was never a player, he's not a "real person" from the real world like all of them. The story goes as Yongtaek told it, all 5 of the friends were real people who ended up stuck in the game, after everyone gave up and voluntarily became NPCs, only Doha and Seongchan kept playing, but they sucked at horror games. Bada was simply an NPC with the storyline of being Seongchan's cousin who was there to deliver his luggage in the tunnel, he would also warn them to turn back due to the lodge's dark history. During the start of one session, Doha talked to Bada longer than usual, and him and Seongchan ended up agreeing to try and make Bada into a player due to his expertise on horror games and cliches. They made Bada insert a cassette tape to save his memories, and then integrated him into their gameplay. Bada was amazing at the game, solving way more puzzles than Doha and Seongchan could do together. Later on, Bada would even end up making his own memories of being a real person who also transmigrated. However, he would also start getting suspicious sometimes, and Doha and Seongchan would have to wipe his memories every time he got suspicious of the situation. Even more later on, Seongchan and Doha would agree to leave everything to him. They would pretend to be normal NPCs and simply let Bada play on his own, solo. Bada, with his unstable memory, forgot all about them and conjured up a fantasy of being the sole transmigrator from the start, and only remembering so far as the lodge. Additionally, Bada being an NPC was the reason he could never kill the killer no matter how hard he tried, and why he'd wake up later than every other player in the car.

-Seongchan would choose to play the same role every single time, and would choose to die early on because he didn't have to play either way, Doha, however, would choose to try and see Bada's gameplay till the very end. One day, Seongchan became anxious that only 1 person could escape the game, so he ejected Doha's tape, thinking that if he discovered later on that more than one person could escape, he'd just return Doha's tape to where it was. He also sent another NPC villager to try and kill Doha, thus resulting in the situation Bada first saw an anomaly in Doha.

-After explaining all this, Bada is left shocked by the truth and is left defenseless to Seongchan's oncoming attack on him. Seongchan reveals that he also took and hid Bada's tape, and that Bada would turn back into an NPC in the next round due to it. Doha hurriedly kills Seongchan and runs to find a new cassette tape for Bada, but Bada stops him and says that he should find Bada's actual tape instead, since Seongchan never hid any of the tapes too far away. He then dies and we see Doha back to the car again. Doha sees the cutscene with Bada warning them not to go to the mountain, he exits the car and talks more with Bada before rendering him unconscious and taking him away. The next thing we see is a Bada with no memories waking up in the lodge and exiting, he sees Doha covered with blood, calls out to him and sees him holding an axe. He asks Doha what this is all about and sees the corpse Doha just killed. Doha then starts explaining that they were lovers and that they're in a horror game etc etc. He tries explaining the basics to Bada, who of course is still a bit skeptical.

This is where the latest chapter ends.
